Email - cllr.louise.gibbard@swansea.gov.ukIt’s been a real honour and privilege to serve as Dunvant’s councillor since 2017, and I’m excited about the opportunity to work across the new ward of Dunvant and Killay.
Hopefully, lots of you will know me already; I’m a governor at both Pen Y Fro and Dunvant Primary Schools, Secretary of the Friends of Dunvant Park, have organised lots of community events and I’m a regular litter picker across the area. Away from the ward, I’m the Chair of STOPP (Swansea Takes On Period Poverty), an active member of Unite Community Swansea branch and Joint Cabinet Member for Supporting Communities involved in making Council decisions around things like equalities and human rights, tackling domestic abuse and our community facilities across Swansea.
I’m passionate about public service, and doing my bit to represent local people and working with you to make improvements to our lovely area.

Email -Having lived in Killay all my adult life, I am proud to be able to stand as part of our Dunvant and Killay Labour team in this year's upcoming local Council elections. I have dedicated my career to the law. I attended Olchfa Comprehensive before studying law at university and completing my Legal Education in Cardiff.
I qualified as a Solicitor in 1999 with the Swansea based firm Edward Harris & Son before moving to Goldstones later that year where I am now the Senior Partner. I am the current Chair of the Wales Committee of The Law Society of England & Wales and I also sit on The Law Society's Professional Standards and Ethics Committee. I was recently appointed to the Law Council of Wales to advise the Welsh Government on the devolution of Justice in Wales.
I love sport and I'm a former member of both Dunvant FC and Killay AFC. In my current spare time, I like walking and exploring our local area with my wife, three daughters and our family dog. I am also a school governor at my old primary school, Cadle.

Email -I am a Chilean/Welsh man who has lived in Killay for over 40 years. I am a former political refugee from Chile who escaped from Pinochet military dictatorship in the 70's. The story about that experience is summarized in my book From Chile to Wales which is available at Killay library. I am married to Maria Cristina, former Spanish teacher and we have two grown-up children, Rocio and Aleri, and five grandchildren.
I am a qualified Social Worker and worked for 5 years as Deputy Manager at both the former Killay House NCH Home and The Richmond Fellowship Half-way house for adolescents with learning and emotional additional needs. After over 25 years, I recently retired from my job as educational psychologist with the City and County of Swansea where I worked with young people with learning, emotional and behavioural additional needs, their parents, schools and colleagues from Health and Social Services.
