My Pledges -
Protecting Penllergaer: I will champion the views of residents in Penllergaer and protect our village from overdevelopment.
Better Roads & Infrastructure: I will campaign for improvements to our roads and upgrades to Junction 47.
Investing in Education: I will work to secure investment to modernise our local schools and get the best facilities for our children.
Delivering for the Community: I will use my councillor community budget to deliver the priorities of local residents.
A bit about me …
Hi, I’m Marsha Phillips and I am standing as your local Labour Candidate in the upcoming Councillor Elections. I may be a familiar face to some but for those who are just hearing of me let me introduce myself.
Penllergaer is incredibly important to me having grown up on the main road and having spent the majority of my life there. My grandparents moved to Penllergaer in the 1960’s and my family has lived and thrived there ever since. I attended the local primary school as did both my children and one of my four grandchildren.
I have always had a passion for strong representation and spent several years as a union rep whilst working in the communications industry. For the last 6 years I have worked in politics as a Caseworker for the local MP meeting hundreds of people and helping with their concerns. I will be a strong and active voice for the residents of Penllergaer.
